With different views on how to classify people, and so much variation between "races" do you think race is a biologically valid concept? If so, why? If not, what can you do with this information?
Races exist only concerning appearance. Beyond that, it's all cultural. If the movie 'White Chicks' has shown us nothing else, it is that race is highly arbitrary.

Langur Behavior
What situation led to inter-group conflict between neighboring langur groups? What was the result of the conflict?
Peepz were feeding the troop too close to another troop's turf. Scarface was playin', but got wasted by Sosa's hitmen. This is Caesar's territory. Lesson is don't wear red in Watts. Them's cripp's turf.
Why do you think the langurs have a breeding season at the same time of year, and only once per year?
The breeding season coincides with availability of food and temperature. Also, their monkey god, Zardoz, commanded them to do so (Zardoz 3:16).
(Student included a drawing of Zardoz with monkey worshipers).

Head Bashing
"Reading the article about child language acquisition made me want to just bash the kids' heads into a wall. Harsh? Most definitely."
Pondering photography
"At home when I take pictures I try to be a little more artistic and provocative, for instance I am currently putting together a series of dog butts."
"I showed my photographs to my friends at home and when they would look through the collections they would quickly skip through the beaucolic scenes and settle on pictures in which I had accidentally or randomly included a person. The questions were always, “who's this? Or “what were they like”? And always inevitably “dang man shes hot, did you hit that”?"

Language Evolution
"I think the gossip theory is the most likely because, really, like all I do is gossip about people. And lie"
Getting Called Out
"I don't mean to call her out or anything, but that's not how she explained it in section"

Nail Wound
Today in my section a student had a large red spot on his shirt. Apparently he had jumped on a pile of construction materials the night before and received a puncture wound from a nail right above his heart. The wound was seeping blood throughout the day and through our lab onto his white shirt. He said it was about an inch deep and was apparently unconcerned about it. The "spot" was about 2 1/2 inches in diameter and growing.
